Wilrose Garden

 I enjoy relaxing in our Wilrose garden with my friends. We listen to the birds, spot the butterflies and smell the flowers.

Matapihi Bridge

 I liked the fresh air we got while going over the Matapihi Bridge walk in Guys Group. We could hear birds and smell the sea air. 

Christmas disco

 I got on the dance floor, under the Christmas laser lights to have a kanikani with my friends. 

My time

 I enjoyed chilling out in my time. I sat on a comfy seat at the table listening to some music and looking at the colours on the puzzle board. 

Zero gravity massage chair

 I tried out the zero gravity massage chair in the sensory room. I liked the foot roller but the back massager might need some time to get used to. 

Chillin’

I enjoyed being in the sensory room swaying to music watching the lights and just chilling out.

 

Wilrose garden

 I like spending time in the Wilrose sensory garden. The mint smells beautiful. 

Friday funday

 I had loads of fun on Friday fundraiser Funday. I enjoyed lots of music, learnt to be sun smart and even listened to some Samoan music. Before I ate my yummy chop sues lunch. It was tasty! 

Topics/Themes/Create and Dispay - Octopus

 We have been investigating octopuses lately. They are pretty interesting. We made our own ones and now we have an octopus family at the centre.

New Aquarium Wall in Sensory Room

 Check me out - I look like King of the Sea with our new wall decorations in the sensory room. With the aquarium DVD on the tv it’s like we are under the sea. 

One and a Half Acre Wood Farm and Petting Zoo

 I enjoyed a day out with my friends checking out all the animals at the petting zoo - I really liked meeting the fluffy animals like the sheep And the puppies.

Beach time

 I enjoyed the morning at the beach. Listening to the waves crash was very relaxing. 

BBQ lunch at Yatton Park

 I had a neat day out with my friends at Yatton Park. The sun was warm, we played games and had a BBQ lunch. What a choice day!

Personal book

We done some work on my personal book and I look all the art and colours it has inside, I also enjoy the cling wrap feel of my book 😊

I enjoyed moving my body and swaying my head to some Fleetwood Mac music 

 

My time

 I was chilling out in my time looking at these magazines. I liked the way the paper felt and there was lots of different colours too.

Memorial Park Outing

 I had an awesome time in guys group going out to Memorial Park. The sun was lovely and warm and I enjoyed the sound of the water from the water fountain and the smell of the sea air. 

Disco dancing

There was some cool music played by D.J. spin at our disco fun day. Everyone had an awesome time dancing the day away.

Storytelling, poetry and songs

In Topics and themes I enjoyed listening to some funny poems and stories. This one about a big green frog in someone’s toilet had a music CD with it too that was funny to listen to. 

Marble Bar

For Guys Group this week we went to the Marble Bar to play pool and sit in the warm bar with with fire going. 

Friendships and characters

We worked on these Mr men characters on friendship day. We gave each other Mr men characters. I’m Mr daydreamer, he is pleasant and likes to dream about all the adventures he wants to go on. What character do you think you are like?  

Relaxing bubble sensory

I enjoyed relaxing and listening to soothing music for plant earth and sensory the theme was everything bubbles and blue today.

Sensory Media - Dr Dolittle

Our sensory/media group watched Dr Dolittle and Had fun with all our animal items in the sensory room. There was a talking guinea pig, a giant gorilla and some tiger and monkey masks to name a few.
