christmas performance

I liked sitting and listening to the I-sing Christmas performance this week. There were lots of cool songs my friends sang too. I enjoyed some kfc for lunch and some fruit and apricot pie for dessert. It was a great way to end my week.

Ferguson Park

I had a nice morning out at Ferguson Park, enjoying the fresh air and strolling around watching my friends do the haka, fly the kites, play volleyball and dance while singing songs.

 

Outdoors stroll

I enjoyed a little stroll in the garden with. H friend Moeata, it was a lovely warm afternoon.

 

 

Sensory relaxation

 I have been enjoying putting my feet up in this comfy recliner chair listening to relaxation music and watching different scenic views of country's all over the world. 

Great to be back

After enjoying the long weekend off, it's great to be back at the centre,  chilling on my favourite couch & catching up with friends. 

Pyes Pa Park

I had a lovely morning checking out a new park in Pyes Pa, I went for a walk and inhaled the fresh air, while I watched my friends on the swings and singing to some waiata.

 

Purple Disco Fun

I joined my friends at our Wilrose Purple Disco, I enjoyed a lot of songs while watching my friends dance to the tunes followed by lovely Gourmet Sandwiches for lunch.

Kia ora ko Nikorima ahau today I listened to music with some instrumnents. I never heard this music before but I really enjoyed seeing how happy the music made us all feel. My big smile says a thousand words.
 

Pamper morning

Morena it's me Nikorima today was pamper day I had a back and shoulder massage my favourite part was the hand massage with the lovely rose smell I enjoyed.

Foot massage

Kia ora its me Nikorima I have a plan in place to have a foot spa every 6 weeks today was my foot spa I soaked my feet in warm water and got the best massage easy soft music playing in the background I was in my happy place and felt so relaxed.

 

Happy Place

Kia ora my whanau and friends ko Nikorima ahau today I was relaxing in the comftoble lazy boy my favourite seat in sensory. My friends and I had the aroma of lavender smells to enjoy as well as each others company we listenend to soft music playing while exploring a new country cooking in thier traditional cooking methods. I had a awesome afternoon with the choice and freedom to be me.  

Sensory Maori Cooking Show

Hi my friends my name is Nikorima today I watched my favourite maori kai cooking show while relaxing on my bean bag enjoying the lights and smells of the lavender I was in my happy and safe place with my friends. 
 

Chilling out

 I like to kick my shoes off,  put my feet up and chill out on the lazy boy in our sensory room. It it's so nice and relaxing.

Maxwells beach

 I had a lovely morning at Maxwells beach. I enjoyed a hikoi while listening to the birds and breathing in the sea air. 

Foot soak

 This week the highlight for me was getting a nice warm and bubbly foot soak. I sat back and swished my feet around in the water. It was lovely and relaxing. 

Relaxation

 Hello all. I've been relaxing with my friends at the centre as the weather hasn't been that great today. I love kicking back on the couch while listening to different relaxing sounds.

Today was twinkl Thursday and we had a pamper morning with my friends. I had a hand massage and listened to different relaxing music.

Hay guess what everyone; I went to Carmichael Reserve with my friends and I had a great time. I was able to be myself and enjoyed watching and listening to everything around me and enjoyed my walk.

Communiity outing to ANZAC Park

 Hello all. 

I had lots of social fun at one of my favourite parks, “ANZAC park “.I had lovely walks around the park & enjoyed my usual swing time. The sunshine was beautiful and I enjoyed listening to the different sounds. 

Maori koauau

 In sensory this week I relaxed back in my beanbag and listened to the maori koauau which is a special flute made of wood. The sound was very nice to listen to and was very soothing.

Fun with my friends at ANZAC Park

 Hello all

I had heaps of fun with my friends going to ANZAC Park. I had a lovely walk around the park and relaxed in the sun. I had a swing as well and really enjoyed it so much and had big smiles.

Foot soak

 I enjoyed relaxing with my feet in the warm water having a foot soak. It smelt lovely with some lavender essential oils.
