Celebrating "Matariki" Maori New Year.

Matariki is an open cluster of very bright stars. My ancestors would watch for the first appearance of Matariki in the dawn sky. This was in the middle of the year around June. For Maori, Matariki signalled the end of one year and the beginning of another. Look at all the stars we have been working on.
